Soul Nomad: And the World Eaters

January 23, 2008

All I got to say is the game is filled with awesome and win  I can not recommend this game enough except to those that dislike sprite graphics.  While it does sport dated Graphics(which I don’t really mind I prefer sprites in alot of games particularly if they are well done.)  It has an awesome combat system that focuses on tactics and placement rather then button mashing and things of that nature.  It is a strategy rpg which is one of my favorite kinds, but what makes the game Awesome is the story and Gig is by far my favorite video game character of the past collective year to January of 2007 not till like the first of January 2008.  Anyway not much I can really say about the game without giving too much away, if you have played Ogre battle” march of the dark queen or whatever it was titled or Ogre battle 64 the battle system is similar to that but movement is turn based instead of real time, one of the two problems I found with the game the other would be like pretty much all NIS RPGs before it, you can go through the game the right way and use tactics brains and planning or you can just go easy mode on it and make one super powered squad and pretty much annhilate the whole game, extra training of the group isn’t even necessary.  Other than that Game is good units are well balanced (till you beat the game anyway and unlock the pretty much unbeatable unit) I give it a 9.0 out of 10 which means if I ever did break my copy for whatever reason I would go out to buy another you will rarely ever see me rate anything of 8.5

Assassin’s Creed

January 19, 2008

By the time this gets posted 90% of people read this will have already seen something on it but oh well I figure I might as well get it out of the way.  The beginning was not what I expected it to be when I first played I do admit that the whole future thing while interesting is really just a plot device I believe to help move the story along.  The story I would say is fairly well written with some conflicting views and thoughts that make the main character (Altair) doubt himself etc.  Now to actual gameplay I really enjoyed it I believe it was fairly well done I think it would have been better later in the game if the counter system was never implemented though as once you get that down any amount of strategy kinda just goes down from there since you no longer really need to do anything  but block and counter to win any fight you are in.  So once you get the timing down it pretty much becomes a walk through the park as far as fighting is concerned.  Other than that I don’t have any issues the city crawling was my favorite part even though I think they could have used a few more of those gradual run jump parts where you go from board to board slowly rising.  Overall while I would say the game was good I wouldn’t say it warrants an actual purchase of the game as the replay value is fairly low unless you really enjoy running around cities and killing soldiers and collecting flags as that was all that was left when I finished.  I really don’t think it was a good idea for a developer to add something like flags to a city or Templars with no markers and no real benefit to finding them besides saying  I found them.  The 360 version I understand you get points or something for them  for you account thing or whatever not really sure since I played it on the PS3.

Future shutdown of blog

June 29, 2007

now I am not a person that will keep doing something like this seeing as no one really reads this to my knowledge by the looks of it I get more hits for old stories based on things like “anime swimsuit” among some various others that I wonder how the hell they even relate to my blog at all so this is future notice of shutdown I will try to keep it updated for another week after that I think I will be shutting my site down.
