By the time this gets posted 90% of people read this will have already seen something on it but oh well I figure I might as well get it out of the way. The beginning was not what I expected it to be when I first played I do admit that the whole future thing while interesting is really just a plot device I believe to help move the story along. The story I would say is fairly well written with some conflicting views and thoughts that make the main character (Altair) doubt himself etc. Now to actual gameplay I really enjoyed it I believe it was fairly well done I think it would have been better later in the game if the counter system was never implemented though as once you get that down any amount of strategy kinda just goes down from there since you no longer really need to do anything but block and counter to win any fight you are in. So once you get the timing down it pretty much becomes a walk through the park as far as fighting is concerned. Other than that I don’t have any issues the city crawling was my favorite part even though I think they could have used a few more of those gradual run jump parts where you go from board to board slowly rising. Overall while I would say the game was good I wouldn’t say it warrants an actual purchase of the game as the replay value is fairly low unless you really enjoy running around cities and killing soldiers and collecting flags as that was all that was left when I finished. I really don’t think it was a good idea for a developer to add something like flags to a city or Templars with no markers and no real benefit to finding them besides saying I found them. The 360 version I understand you get points or something for them for you account thing or whatever not really sure since I played it on the PS3.
